Wherever on the globe, you live, eat local, eat regional, eat seasonal, eat healthily, live healthily. Most of the modern-day diseases were not meant to be diseases at all. They spread globally because we started eating regularly what was meant for eating occasionally. People love to grab a burger or a pizza or pasta or a wrap through a drive-through either for saving time or for the want of taste. It has become the so-called luxurious lifestyle. While the money you earn in the time you save is then spent on treating the conditions caused by eating them in the first place. Make a wise choice. It's your health that you put to stake. Instead of adapting to the local climate, people have started adopting the easy, quick and delicious delights. Healthy has become synonymous to boring while junk as the gourmet meal. I don't say, don't eat these foods, but I say don't eat them regularly and make them your lifestyle. Lifestyle diseases can be treated much earlier with least or no medications at all just with a little lifestyle modification.


Whatever diet plan you choose, a secret to weight loss and health is being compatible with what is available. If you choose the Paleo diet, you should eat what is available according to your geographical location, the weather there and the items available locally. So, what I am trying to say is to eat mostly the food items that are locally based on your location. Even if you are on a vegan meal or any low-carb meal plan, the recommended fruits and the vegetables are the ones that are local and seasonal. Eat what comes in what seasons. Even our bodies adapt according to the outside climate and atmospheric conditions. If we do not eat in accordance with that, we may end up in getting unexpected outcomes. So, be compatible, be adaptable and pick the locally available items. Even you can manage to get fresh if you eat what is available locally. Then, there is another benefit of this and that is local foods will always cost you less. So, they’ll come light on your pocket. If a meal menu mentions an exotic item, it does not mean that you have to go all the way looking for that or dropping the selected plan for this reason. Instead, run a search for the nutritional facts of that item and look for a locally available seasonal substitute. Do not stick to whatever meal plan you get. You have to choose a meal according to what’s available and at what time, season or location you are in when you choose a plan. Say, if you find somewhere strawberries as mentioned in the diet plan and when you’re going through it, it is either an exotic fruit or not available in that season. Then, you don’t have to spend on that getting it from a cold store or some other likely place. Instead, you can choose an alternative with equivalent calories and nutritional values. So, stick to the plan and the purpose but without getting strict.
